Frequently Asked Questions

Are you self-published?

Yes. I go through Kindle Direct Publishing.

  • What inspired you to become an author?
I've loved writing and drawing as far back as I can remember. Even as a teenager I hoped to become a published author some day.
  • Did you design your own website?
Yes. WIX was really hard for me to figure out but now that I've used a lot of the features I really like it and would definitely recommend it.
  • What is the hardest part about getting known?
So far it's been getting online reviews. I've read that it's not worth spending money on marketing until you have at least five reviews and though I've gotten many rave reviews in real life, very few have reviewed my books online.
  • How long have you been writing?
As long as I can remember. I was always scribbling down little stories and poems as a child. I don't remember when the first thing I wrote was. Unfortunately, all my earliest writings were lost. Someday I want to go through what I have and see if anything is worth putting into a book.
  • What inspired your first book?
I believe my first book, The Great Giver of Life, was divinely inspired. I did it for an extra credit assignment in college that I didn't need. It just popped into my head. I wrote the whole thing in 2 hours. One draft. 97% grammatically correct. My teacher was astonished. I have not had that happen before or since, although my sequel books do seem to be inspired because a lot of times I start typing and words just come.
  • Do you do your own illustrations?
Yes. So far everything I've done is illustrated by me by hand. I use the computer to edit mistakes, but that's it.
  • Are you self-published?
